Labwise provides full verification and licensing services for Finnish Cable Ready and Cable Ready HD
Labwise is an authorized test laboratory for performing verification tests according to the Cable Ready and Cable Ready HD specifications used in Finland.
As an official custodian of the Cable Ready license, Labwise offers turn key licensing services for the TV device manufacturers who wish to apply for the corresponding Cable Ready license.
Cable Ready HD
Cable Ready HD testing and licensing is mandatory for devices that will be used to receive HD pay-TV services from any of the Finnish CATV networks.
The Cable Ready HD license is granted for a three-year time period for a compliant product or product family. The licensed products have the right to use the official Cable Ready HD logo.
The license also includes two complimentary one-month periods of over-the-air software update capacity in all the Finnish CATV networks.
Cable Ready
For SDTV devices the Cable Ready licensing is not mandatory. The voluntary Cable Ready testing and licensing ensures interoperability between the receiver devices and the CATV network.
The consumers can easily identify compliant products from the Cable Ready logo, granted for the compliant products.
